+ Disneyland Thursday’s reviews: The Carnation café
After seeing the newly renovated Carnation Café on 6/14/2012 and hearing about how wonderful it was from the very friendly hostess we decided we HAD to try it on our next visit. So when we visited the park the following week we decided to stop by for lunch. We didn’t have to wait too long to be seated which was nice since we did have a larger party than usual. The service was awesome which is never a surprise at the happiest place on earth. The menu has a lot to choose from like salads, fried chicken, and vegetarian options. They also have quirky drinks like the pb&j soda! But take it from us, order “Walt’s Cherry Shake,” its not on the menu but they do make it and it’s delicious! It has bits of cherry in it! I had a salad, which cindy thought wasn’t important enough to photograph LOL but the bleu cheese dressing was very tasty. Cindy got a cup of the loaded baked potato soup, it had bacon in it, and lets just face it everything is better with bacon! Cindy’s boyfriend Robby ordered the fried pickles. I had never tried them before and they are amazing! We highly recommend them. Towards the end of our meal our waitress came with a tray of desserts to tempt us, all of them looked great, and Robby decided on the strawberry rhubarb pie which was good because it was both sweet and tart. Our overall experience at Carnation Café was very good and we can’t wait to go again, hopefully next time for breakfast because we’ve heard that’s what they’re known for. Next time you go to Disneyland stop by!
